Training and Certification Information
IDCA offers the world’s no. 1 data center, and cloud professional education, training and certification. Industry leaders such as architects, specialists, experts and managers at Google, Apple, Facebook, AWS, Microsoft, Expedia, LinkedIn, AIG, Salesforce, NASA, T-Mobile, Digital Realty, Intel, Comcast, Schneider Electric, Caterpillar, Vertiv, Ericsson and hundreds more as well as numerous government agencies, have attended IDCA programs and obtained their certification.
IDCA’s comprehensiveness is such that the Chairman of BICSI, the Chairman of NFPA 75, the CISO of the National Labs at Stanford and North American Champions of TIA942 have recognized IDCA’s advantages in live interviews:
The Chairman of the BICSI Standardization Committee stated, “I see IDCA as taking the data center industry to the next level and I very much want to be part of that, and I want BICSI to be part of that also.”
TIA-942 Champions of North America stated, “IDCA gives us a very specific set of standards, measuring tools and requirements to meet that other organizations haven’t begun to address. We have a long and rich history of being TIA-942 shops, we didn’t feel any of the prevailing standards Uptime Institute, TIA-942, BICSI gave us enough visibility into the stack or give customers’ vehicles for visibility into our capabilities.”
CISO of National Labs attended IDCA and stated, “I don’t think any other organization in the industry is as well positioned as IDCA to put programs together that are well respected in the industry with the rigor and material that actually help the industry.”
The Chairman of the NFPA 75 Standardization Committee stated, “I see a big benefit in people choosing IDCA certifications so that they have the knowledge. IDCA integrates IT and facilities. IDCA is great because it looks at things in a very neutral manner, it looks at the whole picture and all the different aspects that one needs to know and I don’t think there is anybody else that is doing that. IDCA has the best results in mind.”

How to become Certified?
Becoming IDCA certified is a step-by-step process. From the global operations manager of Apple to data center managers at Microsoft, Amazon, LinkedIn, Google, Salesforce, Exxon, to global heads of DC operations at AIG that run over 1000 locations, we have trained them. This includes thousands of infrastructure specialists, operations specialists, technicians, experts, and architects from the world’s leading providers like Digital Realty, Equinix, QTS, vendors like Schneider, Vertiv, Ericsson, Intel, Cisco, and contractors like Lockheed Martin, MITRE, etc.
There are mainly 4 courses, 2 tracks and 9 certifications. Here is how it works:
Attendees can either choose to be on the operations management route (DCOM) or the infrastructure expert (DCIE) route. They are both 5-day programs that include two courses each: DCOM includes a 2-day DCIS and 3-day DCOS and DCIE includes 2-day DCIS and 3-day DCES. When the attendees complete either program they will have three certifications. Once they complete either program they can then take the DCTP and become either a DCE or a DCM and even proceed all the way to a Data Center Authority (DCA).
The relevant data center-certified training pamphlets are attached.
